Charged on mobile phone scam cannot stop it

Dear Martin
My partner has been scammed and is charged every evening at 18.40 to his mobile bill he has been in touch with his provider to be told it is a third party nothing they can do he has asked for the number to be blocked it's not happened he has tried to txt the number to stop and that just says txt failed please help we are getting charged for nothing
We are shielding and not very techy either old

What are these charges of which you speak? Why 18.40? Is that a time of day or a price? Who is the third party? How did they get scammed? Need more details.Carolinechristy53 said:Dear Martin

Suspect your partner is on a provider (e.g. Plusnet) that doesn't support short code numbers, which would make sending a "STOP" message impossible.0
