The last thing I'd be interested in is getting into BTL, I'd never want to be a landlord. And I'd certainly not want to buy abroad unless I was choosing to move there in the near future. A bigger house only really makes sense if you need more space as a bigger home tends to mean more council tax, heating costs, water rates, insurance etc. not to mention moving costs, stamp duty & legal fees.
Solid reply, thank you. I'm greedy for the space If im honest. I don't 'really' need it. Im in a terrace without rear access which annoys me. But there are obviously more important things in life to worry about.0 -
How old are you? Do you have a retirement plan in place yet? I know you have a pension, but have you thought about when you will take it, and would you like to retire earlier etc?Think first of your goal, then make it happen!0
