Mortgage error

Hi, I recently applied for a mortgage holiday due to being furloughed which was accepted, but have just got an arrears letter through from mortgage company. They were very apologetic and said it was totally their fault but unfortunately because they didnt action the holiday correctly, they have advised the credit reference agencies of my missed payments. They sincerely apologised but said there is nothing they can do? Just wondering what steps I need to take to sort this out as I have managed to keep a good credit score?
Thanks

  • That's nonsense, they can inform the credit reference agencies that the missed payment notices were in error and have that corrected.
