Company making me take holiday but I am still only getting 80%

The company I work for are making us take our holiday (which I am fine with and is legal) while I am furloughed. But they have informed is that we will still only receive 80% of our wages because they are paying is our holiday then using the furlough scheme to make it to 80% is this legal and moral?

I wish someone would actually explain the law supporting this conclusion. It seems to be a widely held belief, but there are many widely held beliefs that have no foundation. I guess it is one of many things they need to clear up. I suppose the best they can do is try and get it at 100% and if they can't and it turns out to be wrong claim it back later.1

Yes. She didn't say why either, but you wouldn't expect her to on a short program.
