Sick pay query

I work in a primary school non teaching. I have been in work through last 11 weeks with keyworkers. I was concerned when they planned to open the schools to more children. I was told that if I didn't want to work that's fine and I wouldn't get paid and I would miss summer holiday pay too. I don't actually know if I get paid sick pay under normal circumstances. My contract isn't very clear. I haven't had a day off sick in 5 years so I have never considered asking the question. I am not sure what happens if I suspect I have symptoms, on my son who is in my keyworker bubble, or any other child in my bubble. If we are told to isolate or decide to isolate do I get paid. If I have to miss work due to stress at work do I get paid. I am nervous about asking questions. I raised a problem at school this week with the head and he hasn't replied to me. I had a doctor's phone appointment this morning and he wants to sign me off sick due to stress. I don't want to do something that will affect my career or be treated as trouble causer. I am feeling a bit isolated and don't know where to get proper advice. I am not in a union.
Thank you.

If you are signed off by your GP
with stress then you should be entitled to SSP but perhaps depending on your school they may offer full sick pay.

With the bubbles if you have to isolate then SSP should be paid for those occasions too. Your school should have provided you with a copy of their risk assessment that they have carried out and included in this should be the policies to cover what will happen should your bubble be required to isolate.

I don't earn enough to get SSP. I have seen the risk assessment and know what happens sort of, but I don't know if  I would get paid. My colleague says she thinks we only get paid for first 3 days then nothing after that.
