Scottish Power

Has anyone got any experience dealing with Scottish power recently? We have a bungalow which is unoccupied and keep sending meter readings and they keep sending us texts containing large amounts for a new monthly bill. But, when logging on to their application we cannot view any details of the bill, the only option is to pay it. They are not accepting any phone calls and their online chat is disabled. Can anyone advise? We are scared not to pay as it might affect our credit rating but we are sure that no energy is being used and the last time we spoke to them pre-Covid they were informed that the property was empty. Should we call the 'soon to be disconnected' number. Their behaviour is totally outrageous.
(we have also emailed them bit got an automated response saying they were only responding to emergencies)

Can you give us a typical reading from your meters please ? Include all the zeros ? Just checking that the info you are giving is correct before SP do their weird things with them .

Latest Bill £91:62
Previous Bill 27 april: £64.88
No breakdowns available just a text demand for the bills to be paid - but the house has been empty for over 6 months!
Meter readings were:
yesterday (10/06/2020)
Gas
15343517
Electricity
679672
Reading on 06/04/2020
Gas
15343517
Electricity
678569

Whoops - typo there on the second gas reading, now corrected (basically it hasn't changed between readings)0

Have a closer look at your meters - there's a decimal point
eg the gas should read 1534.517 and the reading you give is 1534 and the elec 67856.9 and the reading you give 67856
No wonder you are getting big bills
PS and you are consuming some electric 67967 less 67856 is 111 units in 2 months about 55 units a month @ 16p is about £9 add two lots of standing charges £7 a month each plus VAT £25

STOP PHONING - send them a e-mail followed up with a letter (sent recorded delivery), mark it complaint if you want to get the timer started to enable you to go to the ombudsman if they dont sort it out but as Robin says, do make sure that you are sending them the correct readings before getting too hissyNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Take photos of your meter readings and attach to the emailNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
