Hi,
I am looking for some advice. I am a committee member for a small local charity. We are open to days a week but using an old council building. The electricity supplier is charging us phenomenal prices. They have been doing this for over two years now however have not billed correct address and we only found out by chance when a member of public handed in a bill. I have tried every avenue possible to rectify this however energy company are taking the stance that this is not there problem.
Can someone please help us?
Thank you0 -

You really should start your own thread rather than usurping another as your questions and answers will just get lost
Who did you think was paying the leccy bill?. I assume that if you are paying rent or a fee to use the building then perhaps you need to have a chat with the landlord. Who else uses the building. What sort of agreements have you got to use the premises.I'd guess that if otheres use the building as well then perhaps they should share some of the costs.
There are lot of questions that need to be answered before anyone can fathom out what is going onNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

What exactly has your energy company done wrong, and what do you want them to do to put it right?

What is the basis for your use of the 'old council building'?If you have a rental agreement for example what does it say about payments for utilities? If you are liable for utility costs and have just been ignoring the lack of anyone billing you then whoever is responsible for your financial planning should be fired...0

Do you qualify for 5% VAT ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
