Timeshare Exiting

We purchased a timeshare 15 years ago in Tenerife. But, after escalating maintenance costs, we want to exit the agreement. We have been quoted £4500 plus from a number of companies. Can anyone advise me please? We are currently dealing with 'The Timeshare Advice Line', has anyone had any experience with this company. They are asking us to sign over our ownership certificates. Not sure what to do. Please help!

Do not pay upfront fees to any company for selling / disposal of your timeshare. How was contact made between you and this company? Did you contact them or did they cold call you?

The company operates from a virtual office which costs a £1 a day to use, to pass on the post I suspect. Turnover according to their accounts was £81K in the last year and there are only two staff, Bethyn and Carlos. There has been an explosion of questions regarding timeshare in the last few weeks, I suspect they think in the current environment people will be desperate, you may be, but never, ever part with money to an entirely unregulated business which will take your cash and do nothing for you0

Trip advisor have a complete forum on Timeshares and usually have up to date info on the scam companies, which they all are if they need you to pay anything up front.0
