Who did my ppi claim - Do I owe Fast Track?

I'm worried. I'm getting letters and invoices from Fast Track claiming I
owe them money for a PPI offer from Barclaycard. Last year just before
the deadlline I completed a ppi check through the link on your website to check if I
was eligible - at the time I understood
that this would not incur any cost or implications because it was from your website. Would it have
been through Fast Track? Any hoo I pursued the claim direct with
barclays and was paid out direct from Barclays. Yet Fast track are now
saying I have to pay almost £3000 to claim a different (slightly higher)
amount before they'll release the funds from Barclays... but I've
already been paid out and as far as I know it was direct from Barclays.
As far as I am aware I never engaged or entered into any claim with Fast Track. Up until now I've just been thinking they were just trying to scam me out of money. Please help?

Through ‘your’ website? Who is ‘your’ in this context? It wouldn’t have been from MSE.
most CMC’s include the right to raise a complaint in the small print of a ‘free PPI check left so you should have read what you signed up for. they wouldn’t have been paid out by Barclays as they should only pay you but you should call Barclays to clarify what you were due to be paid as what you’re describing could very well be Advance Fee Fraud, which as far as I’m aware, Fast Track aren’t doing as they’re ‘legit’ (as legit as CMCs can be).
helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)1 -
It was last year so I cannot remember exactly but the link was on Money Saving Expert, it didn't look like a separate 'ad' link and as I trust the website to steer me... I've got the letters from Barclaycard that details everything. Advance fee fraud is what I was afraid of. How do I determine if I need to pay this fee?

MSE has never linked to any CMC for complaint submissions. It has always promoted the Resolver Tool.
Advance fee fraud is what I was afraid of. How do I determine if I need to pay this fee?Make a formal complaint to the CMC saying that you never used them for a complaint submission. CMCs are now regulated and you have access to the FOS if they reject your complaint.

I hear ya but I wouldn't have trusted the link from anywhere else precisely because I'm wary. Thanks for your advice. I'll make a formal complaint.0
