Utilitia have finally got round to sending me my final Eversmart bill, £69 in credit and will send me a cheque apparently.

Yes, I got my final Eversmart/Utilita Bill. It's only taken them 10 months!
However, they seem to have got it right. I owe them about £120, which ties up with my calculations. At least the money has been sitting in my account rather than theirs!0 -
I received final Eversmart and Utilita bills on 29th Feb, showing a credit of £17.94. Looks like my cheque from Utilita will soon be on the way. Whoopee.0

Have any of you actually received the cheque yet. I am still waiting for mine advised in a letter dated mid May?0

Utilitia are a shocking company. I have a disability and had started a new job around the time Eversmart went under so must admit I didn't pay as much attention as I should. I wish I had. Utilitia have charged me just under double what Eversmart were! I have left them now but I am still disputing the amount. They are not providing meter readings just say they 'have them'. I am insisting on these. Given the guidance from Ofgem on the charges involved when a provider goes under i feel they are in breach of their guidelines and have told them so. I've advised that if I don't get some resolution soon - complaint has dragged on for weeks - I'm taking my complaint to Ofgem.
Anyone successfully complained about these cowboys already?0 -
Yes, I took my complaint to the Ombudsman who ruled in my favour, although I’m still waiting for Utilita to act.Lasttraintonowhere said:Utilitia are a shocking company. They used incorrect Gas & Electricity readings on the changeover date from Eversmart. It worked in their favour as their tariff was more expensive.
They updated the gas reading, but after 3 attempts hadn’t changed the Electricity and were threatening debt collectors. My complaint was never even acknowledged.
The Ombudsman ruled they had to provide an accurate bill, a letter of apology, and £40 compensation. That was supposed to be done by the 7th July, but they have another 2 weeks to allow for ‘postage’. I’m not holding out much hope that anything will turn up tomorrow.0 -
Daughter finally received her Eversmart refund cheque from Utilita today. She left Eversmart a couple of days before they went belly up, had an estimated final bill early Sep 19 followed by a correct final bill late Sep 19 then and had a letter in May 20 stating a refund will be processed. Now one year later that cheque arrived !
