Could someone please help/advise ? I received my window for applying for the SEISS grant of 15th May 2020, complete claim, printed off reference number and waited and waited and waited. Called HMRC line on 26th May 2020 and was advised to wait till next day which I did, still no payment made so called again and was advised that HMRC had technical difficulties and payment should be made by end of month. Five minutes after I was told this I received an email from HMRC saying my claim had been rejected as they believed "some had made the claim for me using my information" - I called HMRC straight back and informed them this was not the case and that I had completed the claim myself. My SEISS account was reset and I was told to resubmit the claim on 1st June which I did. I then waited 6 working days and still no payment into account. I called HMRC and spoke to various representatives on 8th, 9th and 10th June and have been advised that this has now been passed to higher level for them to investigate and should receive a reply within 10 working days ?????? How can this be ??? I submit and pay my taxes every single year on time and I am eligible for the grant but they just aren't paying it. I am worried that the closing date for first claims is 13th July, what happens if this isn't resolved by then do I still receive my first grant ?? Everyone is talking about their second grant I cannot even get my first one. Any help would be so greatly appreciated as I really do not know what to do now and feel if I wait 10 more days on top of the month I have already waited then I'll just be papped off again.

Do you have an accountant? Or did you use a different computer/tablet etc with your GG login?0

Thank you for replying Jeremy - yes I do have an accountant but I completed the grant request myself as I understood he was not allowed to do it on my behalf. I did use the same computer to re-submit my claim. I am wondering if it is the ip address to my computer that may have caused the problem ? If I was able to re submit my grant for a 3rd time I was going to do it from a different computer do you think this may help ?1

That's why I asked about your accountant. HMRC have emphasised that a fraud alert will be triggered if agents use clients' login details. But HMRC's computer doesn't know who is operating the taxpayer's computer, so it flags a different access point, sometimes if you just use a different browser on the same computer. You have followed advice and resubmitted your claim, so I doubt the 13 July deadline is relevant, but it is frustrating for you. Follow what they have said. Trying to submit again, whether from the same computer or from a different computer, will only make things worse.1

Thank you Jeremy for taking the time to try and help my situation, it is very appreciated.
You are right it is very frustrating but I will take your advice and just hold tight.
