Change of flight Ryanair and EasyJet

Morning all,
We have booked flights for August 1st returning August 15th to/from Manchester/Marseille. Our problem is we have been told there is very little chance of our newborn son getting a birth certificate any time soon, which makes getting a passport impossible, thus no holiday. I've tried contacting EasyJet and Ryanair but no luck. Does anyone have any information as to the likelihood of them offering us a flight for the same dates next year? We are happy to do new flights not refund so that might help us?

Thanks for any help or advice
Bill

Neither have schedules to August 2021. All you can do is change the flights to, maybe, March 2021, and then change them again once the schedules come out, as I cant see these routes being cancelled.

I would say slim to none especially Ryanair

  • Any more posibility of changing the flight to a different route in October half term? I'm able to do that no problem and free of charge through Easy Jet. Problem being we booked the outward leg with RyanAir and the homeward leg with EasyJet!

Well as you said, you have discovered the issue here: Ryanair. All you can do is appeal to their better nature.

I think it's best to write off the Ryanair flight,  the only hope is they either cancel it or move flight time by over 3 hours.

  • Are you suggesting RyanAir might not be so helpful? Such negativity....
I think I'll rebook with EasyJet and then see what the cheapest return flight is, book that and then just hope RyanAir give us a flight credit. Wish me luck, I've been on their live chat for two hours without reply!
