Manufacturer's Defect on Morgan Stanley Card

My Morgan Stanley card expired at the end of November. I phoned them this morning to tell them I hadn't received my renewal card and was told that they had noticed a batch of them had a manufacturer's defect on them so they had to send them back. Apparently I will get my renewal card by the end of next week. Has this happened to anyone else?

Iv never had that one before......? I guess time will tell when you get your new hopefully well made card in the post!0
