Struggling to find life insurance for DH (Type 2 Diabetic)

We are in the process of buying our first home however, our broker has been furloughed and not able to look at a whole of market life insurance.
I have tried several companies all of which decline us due to the fact DH is Type 2 Diabetic.
Any advice on what I can do?

Nearly all insurance companies will offer cover to someone with T2 diabetes IF it is fairly well controlled. They'll normally ask about things like your husbands HbA1c, how long he has been diagnosed, whether's he's been hospitalised due to it and if there are any complications such as kidney issues, loss of sensation in the limbs, eye problems, heart issues. I'd recommend speaking to an adviser who specialises in finding cover for clients with pre-existing conditions and with the information above they'd be in a good position to find an insurer who'd be able to provide cover.0

Are you being declined after speaking to the companies, or simply declined when trying to use a price comparison site?
