Hi,
Looking for some assistance around if i could get any income somehow?
I was meant to end my previous job (zero hour contract in nursery, usually i was getting 16-24 hours work each week there )on 19th march 2020 which i did and meant to join new job ( nhs zero hour contract in lab ) on 30th March 2020 which i did. Obviously this job move was planned well in early feb considering notice period of previous job and joining formalities of new job...i only attended induction on 30 mar 2020 and due to COVID situation i am not getting any shifts in my new job.
Shall i get some finance support. If so, what route it shall be?
Keep in mind, i am married and my husband is working so we getting his salary which supports some of our needs.

Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement to Universal Credit, you'll need to put both of your details in because you'll claim as couple. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/A claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming. If you're not entitled to that then look at claiming New style JSA. It's based on your NI contributions in tax years April 2017 to March 2019. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-style-jobseekers-allowance Over 25's receive £74.35 per week for 26 weeks.
