Disney Holidays (Direct)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help. We booked a holiday to Disney World Florida for August directly from Disney. This included flights.

With everything that is happening they have made several changes to the holiday and what they offer. There will be no firework displays, no Disney parades and the free dining plan which we have has been removed.

Now ideally we would like to postpone our trip until next year when hopefully everything settles down. However, as we have paid the full balance Disney would only be able to refund/move the Disney resort and tickets to a new date. This means our flights (£2k+) are not refundable.

The only reason we went direct was to have the best customer service after all who would be better to look after Disney guests than Disney themselves but we are just getting the same information everytime we call them ...... That we have to wait until they send us an email with further information.

Normally this would be acceptable shall we say but since the dining plan has been removed we are now looking at a drastic increase in the cost of our holiday which is 2 months away.

Does anyone have any ideas in what we can do other than wait for Disney to eventually get in contact with us?

Our flights are with Aer Lingus. When we've contacted them they say to go back to Disney

From booking packages with Disney directly in the past usually the flights have to be paid upfront and they are a separate entity so to speak even though it’s all booked together. What does your ATOL certificate say about it being a package?
