Are there any really good wallpaper showrooms in the North West

Im due to complete on a house shortly and looking forward to starting decorating. Ive seen loads of online wallpaper sales places but would rather see the paper rather than just a photo before ordering. Im looking to find something a bit different to the B&Q choices so wondered if anyone knows of a decent place to shop for wallpaper that has plenty of choice (of course I know they may not be open yet because of lockdown).
Im ok with most of the North West area, Manchester, to Preston and anywhere in-between. Last time I was looking for paper someone recommended a place in Little Lever near Bolton so I went there but when you go in there is nothing on show to see, they tell you to look on the computer and make a choice then they bring you a 12 inch square sample which is not like seeing it on a roll so you can see the drop and a get a better impression. I don't really ant to order online as the colour may not be spot on with the photos.
Can anyone recommend anywhere please?

You could try Horwich Carpets & Interiors - it is appointment only at present and have to confess I haven't been in for years but they do/did have loads of wallpaper books and lots of displays.

I am having the same problem though only looking to paper 2 bedrooms.

I am avoiding ordering online as the colours, type and quality don't show  properly on a computer screen.
I think I have looked online at hundreds of papers but still unsure as I wouldn't  like to have to return.  One shop I have just thought of is Next.
Not looked there myself so of to do that now.

There's a Dulux Decorating Centre in Preston they will have loads of books, when they re-open of course. Others may send samples by mail, usually small though as you've found.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Thank you for the replies, Im not too far from Horwich Carpets so will have a look there. Will look at NEXT as well. I understand what you mean moonpenny, I don't want to order online and then find its a cheap looking thin paper. I want something a bit different but not looking to spend £50+ a roll. When I looked in B&Q they still have the same papers I saw when I last bought some about 3 years ago.

    Yes.

Brewers Decorators Centres have book after book of designs from all the major brands as well.  There are so many papers out there, don't be limited to a couple of high street shops.

I've used a couple of the online wallpaper retailers, they will send you several samples for free.

Try Lancashire Wallpaper and Paint in Rochdale. I've used them regularly over the years and they have lots of choice at fair prices. The shop isn't anything fancy or modern but don't let that put you off.
