Premier parking ltd - debt agency letter

I’ve received a debt agency letter asking for £150 for overstaying /exceeding hours in a retail car park. This car park is free to customers and there are a number of retail units there (Cardiff).
It apparently happened in December 2019, but I did not receive any other letters or fines - this is the first I’ve seen of any of it. As I had moved house and by the time I have updated the DVLA with my new address as the registered keeper.
The letter provides no evidence of my vehicle being there, I have no clue who would have driven it at this point, ( as it’s not just myself using my vehicle). As it’s now in the hands of the debt agency - how do I go about sorting this?

Unless you get a landowner cancellation, a Judge to (ultimately) find in your favour, or you pay them their extortion demands, you simply can't 'sort this out'.You're at debt collector stage, so you need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, to learn how to deal with them.Come back on this thread if the PPC issues a Letter of Claim or you receive a court claim via the Northampton CCBC.
You say you've updated keeper details with the DVLA - did you send two separate notifications, one for your driving licence and one for your V5C (logbook)? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Email a SAR to the DPO at the PPC and attach a copy of the V5C plus a copy of this debt collector letter too
This should obtain the documents etc2 -
And also require the DPO to rectify the address data to your current address. That's vital.
And read some threads! There's no need to post about Debt Collector letters.
Finally, there is no such company asPremier parking ltd

There was a time delay as I realised I hadn’t changed the details on the log book aswell. So this may be why I hadn’t received any parking fine as it must have gone to the old address.Umkomaas said:Unless you get a landowner cancellation, a Judge to (ultimately) find in your favour, or you pay them their extortion demands, you simply can't 'sort this out'.You're at debt collector stage, so you need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, to learn how to deal with them.Come back on this thread if the PPC issues a Letter of Claim or you receive a court claim via the Northampton CCBC.

Excuse my ignorance, guessing ...
standard appeal review?Designated parking officer?
I’ve read through lots of different circumstances and can see as it’s about time exceeded I need to ask about the grace period and how long the vehicle was parked there. It was so long ago I have no way of knowing.0 -
Is this a scam then??Coupon-mad said:And also require the DPO to rectify the address data to your current address. That's vital.

The fifth post in the NEWBIES thread addresses both those points.
What acronym page did you read?3 -

Just found a bbc news link of someone who appealed their ticket as they had parked during a football match day. And the bbc report is the day before The ticket is issued. (It wouldn’t let me paste the link). It’s free for 3 hours parking, but apparently reduces to a 1.5 hours on a match day. Well the 7th is a Saturday so makes me wonder if this is what has happened. Myself or partner have only ever attended this car park to go to the retail shops (Costco/smyths/asda etc and so will see if we have any bank statements for these stores that date).0
