Unable to contact Love Holidays

Getting somewhat irritated now.  I have been really patient, due to fly to Rome 30.6.2020, Jet2 confirmed the flight was cancelled ages ago, then confirmed a refund to me on my American Express card, don't have an AE card!  Can only assume they have refunded Love Holidays who keep telling me conflicting information about whose responsibility it is to get the refund back.  Jet2 did the refund on 11th May.
I am unable to communicate with Love Holidays at all, cannot ring, send a message, do live chat, send a carrier pigeon or smoke signals, NADA!
Got a bad feeling about this.  Anyone have any pearls of wisdom of words of hope please?

  • Nope....Love Holidays say they are working on holidays due up to the end of June so they should be contacting you very soon with your options.   They are dealing strictly in date order of holidays and not when they get the refunds from airlines (I believe).  Fair enough really considering the thousands of people they are having to deal with.   Hopefully, not much longer now for you?

I think the problem here as crazy as it may sound may be because Jet2 refunded so early so it’s going to take even longer to filter through Loveholidays to put it polite erratic and Completely useless system.

Our Jet2 flight was April 23rd and that’s the date they refunded it to Loveholidays we received the refund from Loveholidays a few days later(without chasing them and they emailed to confirm they were refunding)They only literally contacted yesterday via email to confirm card details for the hotel/transfers and then said we are now in the queue for a refund with no working dates going forward 🤷‍♀️

I hate to say it but I don’t realistically think Loveholidays will even look at your refund until at least 30/6/2020 because of their backlog.

There is no working pattern with Loveholidays at all no matter what they claim and it appears to be purely pot luck. There is a Loveholidays complaints group on Facebook with many unhappy customers trying to help each other if you would like to join there for support.

Easyjet advised that they were cancelling our April holiday flights to and from Portugal and they reimbursed the holiday company the cost of the flights, £183.96 on 11 April. Up to that time I had paid LoveHoliday a sum of £561.  The total cost of the holiday amounted to £806.98. They offered me a holiday voucher which I refused as I wanted my money returned. I checked my bank account last week there was a sum of £376.99 from the holiday company! Contact with LoveHoliday is non-existent. My credit card provider (Debenhams) refuses to consider a chargeback and has referred me to the Civil Aviation Authority. I will be joining the LoveHoliday complaints group on Facebook. We were looking forward to our holiday to celebrate my husband's 82nd birthday but have been left with a nasty taste in the mouth and out of pocket. They are a despicable company!

I booked a hotel only to Disneyland Paris for 12th June, and had been live chatting previous asking what happens and was told a credit note only and if not used by 31st March 2021 they would refund, I sent a letter by recorded delivery early May stating I would not accept a credit note and on 10th June I received email from them offering chance to have credit note or refund to card, which I accepted by going onto website and claiming, still no credit but I’m hopeful I’ll have before year is out...

Love Holidays have shown themselves in a rather bad light during these last few months and I can see many customers not using them again.

To be honest and I don’t mean this unkindly but your holiday departure date hasn’t even passed yet. There are many customers who have been waiting for a few months and are still finding it troublesome. It will happen but it is going to take a long time for a result I think.

Just wanted to add my experience with Loveholidays. Booked a holiday through them with flights due out in mid April. Informed it was cancelled and they’d write to me with further options.

After offering vouchers, I waited as I expected that these would automatically switch to a cash refund in one year. A few weeks later, the cash refund option appeared on their site so I requested one. They sent me an email a few days later asking I call them to give them my bank details for the refund to go on to.

I managed to get through and spoke to someone who said refund of hotel only would go onto original payment card. Made the request to call them pointless- I reckon it may have been a way to pose another hurdle to request of cash refund.
I received an email to confirm it had been issued. It was in my account about a month after original cash refund request. I never received refund for transfers- apparently it’s non refundable.

Rynair have confirmed they’ve processed refund so once LH receive it they will pass it on.
LH are working on refunds in order of departure so please be patient OP.
