I have to say, the litter picking is not actually absurd.  I am furloughed and live opposite a park in a less-green area than your country side location.  I need to keep some routine, so get up at normal time to go to work and did get a grabber stick and do a litter pick in the park in the time that I would normally be stuck on the motorway to work.  I now changed routine so alternative days litter pick or run the other days.

Hope you get things worked out - as you say, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched back on.

I am actually enjoying the quieter life more than I imagined.

Thanks Jeremy.  I simply pick up the cans, bottles, crisp packets and take away wrapping and put in the bin in the park where it should have gone anyway.  In my charitable mind, I am sure it was placed in the bin and just dragged out by the squirrels playing 🤔
