Zero hour contract, employer not paying furlough

I am a university student on a zero hours contract. I have contacted my employer but they say I can’t receive furlough payments as I didn’t work in jan/feb/mar. I have been working there for over 3 years so I am on payroll. I have worked over Easter, Christmas and last summer. I’ve spoken to a few people but they haven’t helped, I was wondering if anyone had any further advice on this? Thanks

You can push the issue, as you are on the payroll - but unfortunately furlough is entirely option on the part of the employer, so they can just say 'no' and there's nothing you can do. Sorry!

Unfortunately, it's entirely the decision of your employer whether they furlough you. A little late now though because today is the last day which your employer can furlough you.

Thank you, it seems strange how they say I’m not eligible because I haven’t worked in jan/feb/March even though I am still on the payroll and have been sent furlough forms to sign

Thank you, I signed furlough forms in the first 2 months so I’m hoping this exempts me from todays cut off date and gives me till the payment cut off date of July 1st, what are your views on this?

Unless your employer has previously claimed for you then just signing the agreement isn't going to help.
