I purchased 2 return tickets to Barbados last October, for departure on 22nd March returning on 7th April. Following the F &CO advise not to travel and Barbados imposing 14 days quarantine I contacted BA who advised that the out going flight was scheduled to fly (for returning passengers) and they were not obliged to return money but would issue a voucher, provided I applied before the flight, or it would be treated as a "no show" without refund or option for a voucher. I completed the voucher form.
The return flight on the 7th April was subsequently cancelled by BA and I requested a refund for this part of the journey which has been refused on the grounds that I accepted a voucher. I had no option for the outgoing flight but never accepted a voucher for the return portion
At no time have I been offered a cash refund. Too late for chargeback. Would a section 75 succeed or am I stuck with a BA voucher. As we are in our mid 70s this was our final hurrah trip, may not even be around to use.

You can try a Chargeback as the time starts either from the date you bought the flights, or the date they were due to fly.
So you have 120 days from 22nd March.
    Did you pay BA direct?

If that fails, try a Section 75

Does not the OP have a clear case for a refund on the return leg though? The voucher offered could have only been for the outbound flight, as the inbound one was still operating at the time the voucher offer was made. How can BA therefore claim that they accepted a voucher for both flights?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
