Hypothetically now..
if when you sign a lease contract, and the person who isn't the LL signs the contract in the LL's name... is it valid?? ie, husband signs the wifes name as the person stated on the contract as the LL is the wife.

Technically speaking no. Hypothetically, yes
.
It would be down to the LL to say "hold on, that's not my signature.....who are you people and what are you doing in my house?" Bearing in mind, if she tried to say it wasn't her signature etc etc, she would then have to go after her other half for forgery.....
Personally, I would just speak to her and ask her to sign it herself asap. Covers everybody that way.
