Being made redundant when on Maternity Leave

If you were to be made redundant whilst on Maternity Leave I believe you are entitled for the remainder of your Statutory Maternity Pay (up to 33 weeks) to be paid on top of the redundancy package. Are you then able to start a new job role with a new company before your original return to work date? Or must you wait until your paid Maternity Leave was due to finish?

Do you mean for example your maternity pay was to run to say October 2020 so can you start a new job before then?
