Booking a holiday in September. TUI

Hello all.
I am fully aware of the situation we are in but with my wedding day postponed until next year, me and the better half don't want to be here if at all possible so I have came here to ask this question as I cannot find the relevant answer I am looking for.
We have found a package holiday online with TUI. 5th September, 1 week in Ibiza. I am happy to go ahead and book this right now as the price is good (with a credit card). What protection have I got if the travel ban continues on and we cannot go away still, will I get my money back even if we wait a very long time? I just do not want the vouchers as we already have the honeymoon sorted for next year.
Any clarification would be great, TUI contact centers understandably are unreachable currently!
Thanks

TUI are refunding if it's cancelled , there's an online form.

no matter what you book, if the provider cancels, you are entitled to a refund. If you cancel and the holiday operator still carries on with the holiday then they will not refund you, altho many firms are offering flexible terms
if you cancel and want to reclaim on insurance, thats another matter.
Tui would be the LAST operator I would book with right now, id book flights and hotels separately, ALL FLEXIBLE and fully refundable. Just in case. until FCO guidelines change and borders open to UK tourists, its a gamble if you dont book flexible terms, but of course no one knows what the prices will be the minute that happens.0 -
I on the other hand would book with TUI, I had 2 holidays booked with them, both of which got cancelled by them and got refunded, without even having to contact them. Everybody issues with companies are different and although there are a lot of people with issues with TUI you don't generally hear all the good ones.Have booked a holiday since for October with TUI so are quite happy to, although I personally would not be too bothered with the vouchers if it came to that.0

If you book any holiday, make sure it's a package one, as you have more protection
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Definitely book a package and use the credit card for protection just incase the TA goes bust.
Travel insurance might be be a bit harder to get and it’s unlikely they’ll cover COVID 19 so that’s something to bear in mind but you will need it for all other reasons so don’t put off not having it.0
