A warning for anyone returning faulty goods to Unbeatable Gadgets
I bought some goods off Unbeatablegadgets using some discount codes that i was sent. One of the items,a 8" lcd tv was faulty on arrival and when i rang them up they agreed this was the case and that they would send me an email with instructions on returning the tv and that they would send me a new one.The email contained a short form to fill out personal details and details of the fault and stated this below.
Ensure you include the following:
I received the new tv which works fine but there was no mention of a refund for the postage so i emailed them along with a scanned image of the receipt postage receipt asking for a refund of postage, this was their reply.
We regret to say that we can only refund you P&P charges when the valid receipt is sent together with the return.
So i emailed back to say i could send the receipt but i had no reply so today i have rang them and i have been told that as i did not include the receipt with the return or request a refund of postage before i sent the tv back i was not entitled to a refund, they also said that they are not legally abliged to give me a refund.
Oddly their t&c's say this
Refunds are issued after an extensive inspection of the product by our technical team. Consumers must provide all contact details in case the technical team require any further information. Please note that you will NOT receive a refund for the P&P charges for an unwanted return.
Please can anyone offer any advice as to whether i am legally entitled to a posage refund and of any coarse of action i can take, thanks.

How are you expected to include a receipt for postage INSIDE the item which you are posting? They want you to open it up after it has been priced up and labeled in the GPO and add contents and thus weight?!0

When i said this to the guy on the phone i was told that i could have attached it to the outside of the package!
I don't really think that they care much for their customers as when i mentioned to him of a previous order for a divx dvd mini hifi,

that arrived in an unsafe condition, for which i was given a full refund(power supply was detached from it's mounting)he said "it sounds as if you have'nt been happy with our service in the past so i am surprised you are using us again"
So much for customer satisfaction!0
