Hello all, looks like we've had rain already as the floor is wet. It's not raining at the moment but the sky looks threatening. The meatballs were done in a Mexican type sauce yesterday and I really enjoyed them. Whether that sauce could be made again is another matter, Mr Fix It tends to pick and mix with his spices on a whim
I got Dad's shopping list last night ....... eventually ! He only wanted about 10 things but I knew there were things like bread missing, so I kept asking if he needed X and we doubled his list with forgotten items. I now understand why he shopped every other day, he can't think of what he will need any further than his nose !We had a flying visit from DD for some curtain wire, so I gave her all I had as I no longer have any need for it. She has decorated her summer house in and out and wanted to put up nets, but SiL dropped the only wire they had down though the decking.....Sod's law !! She's got the painting/designer bug at the moment so she wants to paint our shed next. I tried to get her to do our lounge decorating, but I think that was taking things a bit too far
It seems she will have to go to school for a few days before they start back. The children will be in classes of 8 instead of 24+ and kept in their own bubble group, so a lot of furniture moving will ensue. At least her school seems on the ball, but not all the children can be in every day and I don't know if that will change come September.Today I must clean the kitchen including the cooker top and the halogen. If it stays dry I want to put a tarpaulin over the dug ground at the side of the house until I can resume gardening, as the cats seem to think it's their new convenience, yuk
AOD again good luck for today. I'm sure we'll get the day right at some point.Nels have you run off with James for a secret holiday ? We miss you xxHugs to all the poorly ones and anyone in need.Take care, stay safe and well.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
I'm back, it was a choice of root canal treatment plus crown or have the tooth taken out. I have opted for root canal as otherwise I'll look like a fearsome hag. I mean even more like a fearsome hag. The special mouthwash was utterly vile, like bleach, can still taste it.
My first real outing since March 11th, not exactly thrilling. It was sad to see all the shuttered businesses, shops, cafés, restaurants and small factories, how many will survive?I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back9 -
Thank goodness that's settled ADO. Do you have to wait long for the root canal? It will be a good thing to have over and done with..I believe that friends are quiet angels
