easyJet refund for Oct flights

We have Bristol/Faro return flights booked for October which we will not be using due to covid (not keen to fly in a container with 150 others all wearing masks). Someone told me they heard that passengers should approach easyJet NOW to attempt to receive a refund or a voucher for future use. Anyone know or in a similar situation having contacted easyJet for refund/voucher?

You can change to another flight with no change fees, but you won;t get a voucher or refund unless they cancel.

We would like to re-book our flights, but the problem is October 2021 flights are not out yet😡 ...... unless there's another way to book October 2021 flights other than via easyJet website/app

Best way in my opinion is to move them for free, then move them again later.  You might have to pay for the second move thou.
You could wait to see if they are cancelled,  but once EJ start flying, they might remove the free change and you might have to pay twice.
