P&O ferries - voucher in lieu of refund

Booked with P&O Ferries for a crossing to NI in April and when the Scottish Government banned non-essential travel we contacted them for a refund. They said that because we were on a Saver Ticket they couldnt refund but would hold the value of the ticket for 12 months from our original crossing date. Now valid for 10 months! We have been refunded by everyone else associated with our trip but P&O are sticking to a voucher even after me asking specifically for a refund. Surely if the Government bans travel we should get a refund?
Who can I contact about a refund other than P&O?

Cheers pphillips but I thought that the Section 75 protection was only if the retailer was at fault. The ferry still sailed and they are quoting their T&C in regard to not refunding a Saver Ticket so they arent really at fault - just being unreasonable in the light of COVID.

I have a similar problem in that my trip to NI in May couldn't go ahead and I have been trying to get the money back. Various excuses along the same lines as you mention. We don't expect to be able to travel for some months yet and already have other plans already in place so there is a good chance that we will not be able to use the money before next may anyway when the virtual voucher expires. I am planning a charge back next week unless they refund our money by the end of this week but wondered how you got on trying section 75?0
