Hi,
We are on a fixed 18 month contract with Utility point which ends september.
We had a flood in Feb, so we have not been living in there since but plan on moving back home this week. We have still payed the monthly DD payments due to needing electricity for humidifiers in the home. Basically now i do not know my proper reading to switch come the time, and with the price of energy low at the moment, would i benefit to pay my exit fees and go with someone else?
Any help or advice would be great thank you.
Chris

When you can get back to the house give a reading.  It may well be that an estimated reading or two has been used in the meantime.
As to whether its worth switching, that depends on your usage and what you're paying now.  You can always use the comparison sites (you just need to know what your annual usage is) and if you're going to save a fortune even with exit fees it may be worth switching.  Depending on when in September your deal ends your switching window could open as soon as July 14th.

When doing your comparisons don't forget that your consumption will be greatly distorted for the year - you haven't been there for 4 months. You might be better off using the Jan 19 - Jan 20 annual consumption
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
