No proof right now but I’m close with the camp manager and could easily get an email saying Camp was cancelled

I feel a Chargeback is the way to go in the first instance, as  you can get proof they cancelled

Raise a "Chargeback" against the transaction(s) stating non-supply of service, (using proof of cancellation from the Camp) saying USA Summer Camp  hasnot found you another  placement and is refusing to refund you.

Normally with a Chargeback the money is returned once it’s processed

USA Summer Camp can dispute the Chargeback, but it must supply evidence to the card company.

If USA Summer Camp is successful, then the Chargeback is reversed and the money taken back  from your account

Nothing will be quick (in fact could be very slow)

Hey I’m in a similar situation, I’d paid for my daughter to go to camp, we’re in Ireland and I’d paid the camp €700 (including the flight option) but had made it clear all along to them that she could only travel this year. I’ve tried a chargeback on my MasterCard but unfortunately the bank have sided with the camp. I’m thinking of going to the small claims court but don’t want to prolong the agony of this if it’s unlikely I’ll ever see my money again...
