3 months of individual membership is about £16. It would be absurd (and very much non-money-saving) to pursue something that amount via small claims, even if you were sure you'd win.

Maybe the OP thinks it's "the principle" rather than the money (cue 'roll-eyes' smiley)

I'm a member of EH and NT.

I think EH have been generous in their offer.

I wouldn't dream of pursuing this through small claims court.

I've got life membership of both Historic Scotland and NTS, so maybe I should make some actuarial assessment of my remaining lifespan and sue accordingly...
