Looking for a robust USB flash drive

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a USB flash drive from the point of view of robustness, i.e. it surviving the modest rigours of being carried between 2 places in a shirt pocket several times a week. I've currently got a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade which I'm happy with in all respects apart from the flimsy build. It's looking a bit fragile around the interface so I'm thinking I'd better get something a bit more durable.
I guess anything that's retractable or comes with a cap would be a step up but would appreciate any recommendations based on experience.

There is no such thing. Pen drives are cheap for a reason, because they break easily and they're not designed to be robust. They're fine for taking stuff to and from work and holding stuff that if it breaks is a PITA, but not the end of the world.1

You can get rugged versions but they might be overkill.

I've got the Corsair rugged drive (16GB) and it survived going through a wash cycle as I missed it in my overalls pocket.chrisw said:You can get rugged versions but they might be overkill.

I swear by the Kingston datatraveler range. Brilliant - I keep one on my keyring with all my keys banging against it etc all the time, and bar from a few scrathces it works fine.Theyre pretty bullet proof - just made from one solid piece of aluminium.Other sizes are available

Thanks for all the helpful responses, I'll have a proper look but that's exactly I was after, a recommendation from anyone satisfied with a particular product. I just need to upgrade to something more metal and less plastic really. I'm not expecting it to be indestructible or last for ever, just be odds on to get me through a year or more rather than odds against!0
