Denied Furlough and regular overtime

My partner's company have not furloughed any staff but they have cut all overtime. my partner is only contracted for 4 days per week and her overtime equates to an addtional 25% of her wages. Had she been furloughed, her payments would have included overtime. Is there any way of claiming the missing overtime from either the company or through universal credits?

Only if her contract guaranteed her a minimum number of hours of overtime, which would be unusual. You can look at universal credit as a couple, but if you claim tax credits, any claim for universal credit will stop tax credits forever.1

The scheme was meant to protect jobs, not employees pay. She would still not be any better off really if she was furloughed anyway as the company only claims 80% of the wage anyway. So she would be getting about what she was getting now.0

Same money, but for doing nothing. A lot of people would call that better off.sharpe106 said:The scheme was meant to protect jobs, not employees pay.
