Covid extension to photocard driving licences

On 4th June a temporary measure was introduced extending all licences due to expire between 1st Feb and 31st August for a further 7 months.

    No. The DVLA say "This extension applies to the photocard. If a driver’s entitlement to drive is due to expire and they wish to continue to hold a valid licence, they will need to renew this entitlement in the normal way."

    Wow that is kind of them.... Shame that it took them so long to come to that decision. While many of us suffered trying to renew ours....

    Ordered online last month, took a week. No trouble to be honest. But I guess if you don't have a current passport like most it may be?
