last name date change on log book was jan 2020 checked on cartaxchecker. looking to buy of dealer. has this car bought and resold and now up for sale again

    If you actually go to the horse's mouth - https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ - the date is explained as the last V5C issue. That might be because of a change of name or address, not keeper.

    V5Cs now do not say when the last keeper change was. Does it make a difference?
