From Nest to Hive or Tado?
Options
Need some advise on best way to go about my heating control setup in home.
I have nest v3 currently which controls heating and hot water in the house. We are doing some renovations and will have a wet underfloor heating system installed in 2 areas - each with its separate temperature control. I understand with nest it is possible to control the new zones but I need to buy 2 more nest v3's which are around £190-200 each.
If possible I would also like to add some smart radiator valves as I have a large house (28 radiators) without any zone control. I think adding radiator valves will make it more energy efficient
One option I was thinking of is to get rid of the existing nest and get tado or hive where I believe you can buy additional thermostats cheaper. On paper Tado looked like a good option as it has zone control + smart radiator valves and I control all of it with one app.
Any suggestions on the best way to configure the system and whether to stick with nest or move to hive or tado?

I have Tado, but on a much smaller system (one main smart thermostat and 6 smart trvs).
Have to say I love the ability to control each room separately, I have them all scheduled too. It integrates with Google Home so I can ask for a boost if I need to use a room I wasn't expecting to. Also, as long as everyone on the home installs the app on their mobiles the home and away detection is great too. I don't know if it's actually saved me any money as I was always pretty good at managing the thermostat.
If you do make the move, I would consider waiting until they have a deal on. Sometimes direct and sometimes via Amazon, but you can save considerable amounts (especially if you want/need 26 smart trvs).1
