If you are over 60...................

If you are over 60 and live close to a Morrisons supermarket, they are inviting you to free tea/coffee and mincepies on Tues 4th during the afternoon. I know many of you actually welcome concessions to us oap's (old argumentative people, as was used on the tv recently), and like you, if anyone takes the time and trouble to offer me something, I like to be polite and accept it, in the spirit in which it is given.

So, hop onto your free bus, eat/drink your Christmas gesture then return home courtesy of your free bus. If you pay for your heating/lighting via Staywarm, turn it all up in the knowledge that this special concession has been designed and introduced especially for you. (Incidently my monthly fee has been reduced three times in the last year).

Enjoy being over 60, enjoy the offers available, don't let anyone put you off, they've been designed especially for YOU.

Staywarm is a gas and electricity tariff from E.ON (which is the new name for Powergen).

Staywarm guarantees you a fixed monthly payment for both gas and electricity for 12 months. After this 12 months your usage is reviewed and you are quoted a new fixed monthly price for 12 month. For some people, the price goes down, but for some it rises.

I've taken this off E.ON's website.

Exclusively designed for the over-60s, StayWarm offers you complete peace of mind. Once you’ve joined you pay a fixed price for all your energy* by monthly Direct Debit.

The amount you pay is based on the number of people who live in your home and the number of bedrooms it has. We guarantee that as long as you remain with StayWarm, the price you pay will be fixed for 12 months from when you sign up.

    You can join StayWarm if:

    • You, or someone in your home is over 60 years of age
    • Your home has 3 bedrooms or less
    • Four people or less live in your home
    • You take both electricity and gas from E.ON
    • You agree to pay by monthly Direct Debit
Additionally all StayWarm customers who are eligible are referred to the Government's Warm Front scheme, for free energy efficiency advice and grants for heating measures and insulation.

    give them a ring on 0800 1 694 694 for more info.

Just give them a ring, and hopefully it will work out cheaper for you than you pay now!:rotfl:
