Stayforlong. Com nightmare

Cannot get answers, emails etc from this company let alone our refund. Does anyone know anything of this firm or how I can go about finding out if they've gone bankrupt? We were on our way to airport on March 13th for dream trip to walt disney world when we heard Disney had closed. A couple of days later lockdown happened. We cancelled our trip, virgin first allowed us to reboom flights for September at an extra cost of £150pp. Now its not looking good for September either, they have now offered us to put flights on indefinate hold for 2 years. But still no refund from stayforlong. Com with whom we booked our rooms. I'm so worried we've lost £6500 that can't be replaced. Anyone offer any hope please?

Do you know if your accommodation was available?

    Have you got travel insurance?

Our rooms were available at check in date but disney closed the hotel a few days later. We had reserved 2 rooms for 2 weeks. So we would have been thrown out if we had gone. Disney refunded straight away to Stayforlong. Com, just as they did for anyone who chose not to check in. We do have insurance but this wasn't covered apparantly. They said pandemics aren't covered. There are so many people complaining on stayforlong Facebook site, all saying the same. They are not answering emails, calls or refunding. I don't know what our rights are or where to look for help to get our money back. It seems like this firm has taken our money and ran. Guess flights aren't covered now either. It's such a mess 😢

Have you proof the hotel was closed and Disney refunded?

You appear to have booked with a business based in Spain, whose booking conditions are subject to Spanish law, no mention of any form of financial protection at all and it's not easy trying to trace a Spanish business! If you paid by card, I think the best way forward is to request a chargeback for everything and start a new booking with another company when you are ready to travel.

Thanks Alan Bowen, we'll have a go. If we can't get anything we certainly can't go at a later date so will try and sell our flights perhaps but we'll see if credit card can help.

@lifegoeson2013 We do have proof the hotel was closed yes. It was a Disney Resort hotel, one of the first to close. They also stopped all transportation between hotels, Disney Springs and the parks. We had not hired a car as it was not necessary given free transportation was originally available. Also I believe we have proof they refunded Stsyforlong. My brother handled the correspondence and I remember him saying he'd finally located the refund as Disney had confirmed they had refunded. Stsyforlong kept fobbing us off saying they were waiting for Disney to refund. Disney also sent us messages through the 'my disney experience' app to say if we hadn't checked in, refunds would be automatically done. Stsyforlong eventually admitted they had received the refund and said it would be 6 weeks. It's now 3 months!

You could try a Chargeback,  but it might fail if you try to claim  all the money back as the hotel was open  for part of the time.
Maybe we could get  a consensus of opinion on here for either a full  Chargeback or a partial Chargeback

    Hello
Stayforlong are fraudulent in my eyes.. they told money off me for a hotel, and then said they cant get the hotel. Even told me it was NOT REFUNDABLE. I have sent over 40 emails to them, tried to call over 20 times. They should be shut down. THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED AND SHUT DOWN.
they refuse to give me any other contact information either.

assuming you have not left it too long (120 days) speak to your card company with regards to a chargeback...you have been charged for something you have not received
