Barclays stopped my switch to natwest due to IVA

I have today queried with Natwest why I haven't received the Switch incentive for going to them.
They have now come back stating that Barclays stopped the switch process because I have entered into an IVA. Hence why I haven't received £175 offered to transfer. I was totally unaware that this had happened, admittedly I had some issues with direct debit's been paid to start with but having never doing this before just thought it was part of the process.
I am now a little shocked and upset that this has happened and also confused as to where I stand about getting this money, I was only trying to sort my finances out and Barclays do this. Can anyone offer any advice ?

All depends if there were any conditions as part of the switch eg IVA.
Seems odd for Barclays to do it rather than Natwest if is in the T&C's re no IVAs.
Apologies I have no other advice to add.

Spoke with Natwest again this morning and they have said everything is fine from their side of the switch and said I need to find out from Barclays as to why it was stopped.

A question I should have asked is have you entered into an IVA ?

    Post back with the reply.

Barclays are well known for not being insolvency freindly, using the switching service whilst in an IVA was a bad idea.

Why are Barclays not friendly when it comes to insolvency?
This is all news to me.
I had to Switch accounts to be able to go through with the IVA. Why would they stop a bank switch?

Internal policy I suppose,  a good choice of account for an insolvent would be either Lloyd’s, the Coop, or Nationwide.

strange they used to be the only bank which would take undischarged bankrupts, that was a while ago though and things may have moved on policy wise
