NPower Select

I've just come across an anomaly that I feel concerning and confusing. I've just signed up to NPower Select under the impression that it is just a package sold by one of the 'Big 6' and would have to adhere to their regulations. Do they? Well when I emailed them to make sure that my FITs rebate would be protected should I change supplier to them and move it with my change, apparently not since 'NPower Select' is not a FIT Licensee. Personally I feel that NPower are misleading the customer base that in it is just a subsidiary of the company and not a package supplied by them so doesn't have to adhere to the same regulations of the 'Big 6'.
