DAB Radio with 12v cigarette lighter power

Hi,
I have a new job as a delivery driver and would like to listen to DAB.

I don't want to have to retune the FM to pick up the signal, I just want to be able to plug into the 12v and drive off.

Anybody know of such a radio, having difficulty finding anything.

Cheers

Darren

As it's a delivery vehicle I'll assume it has a Bluetooth handsfree capability within the existing radio. If so, just play your DAB from your phone to the system.

probably the easiest but do be aware that streaming the radio through a phone uses ~ 60Mb an hour

Many can use an aux in via 3.5mm jack to the existing car radio as well as or instead of the FM modulator system.

Alternatively any portable DAB radio might work where you will be delivering around, and some may work with 12V or a USB-charger port if you look carefully at their specifications?  (Mobile DAB really needs an external vertical aerial on a vehicle).

In Halfords they sell dab radios that literally plug into the cigarette lighter socket. And they connect to the car stereo via bluetooth. Providing the stereo has Bluetooth of course.

You don't get the sound through the 12v you know! Hopefully the vehicle has an aux in, and you'll connect the headphones of the DAB to the aux in (same socket) of the vehicle. When I first got DAB, I did this with a portable one, then you can stick headphones in and carry it too.
If you want to plug in for power, you may get USB power instead of 12v.
    Something like this:
(built inn battery, plug in to USB to charge, or just run from USB).

Of course, the 12v is the power. I have aux in.

I decided that a portable DAB wasn't really going to work for the van but I have bought and installed the Pure Highway 400 in my car.
Very happy with it, easy to install and great sound.
