50" plasma tv with stand wanted!!!!

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Can anybody please tell which is the best to buy? I am not technically minded in the slightest, all I know is that I would like a black (very shiny), (I hate the matt looking ones) plasma HD ready etc. Not really bothered on make etc, just as long as it looks good and works well. I am looking for one which comes with a stand etc. Any idea where I can the best possible deal please?

what size is your room?
IMHO its going to look pretty damn silly in the average lounge.

I have one of these, Samsung PS50Q97HDX ,and cant fault it..:D

Some good deals showing on www.empiredirect.co.uk & you can increase the warranty to 3years for £20.

But I'm agreeing with the 50'' being too big comment!

I don't think it would be in the OPs room - that's almost 10m x 9m - far bigger than most people's living rooms. Mine is only 5.5m x 4m and we are getting a 42''. Have also seen excellent reviews for the Panasonic viera (about £1900 at JL with a 5 year warranty) and apparently the Pioneer kuro is supposed to be the dog's proverbials but nearly £3k

I have the 50px70 Panasonic Viera with matching stand. It's black, shiny and has excellent reviews.
