Can I make a CC purchase in several parts

Hello, I have a small credit limit (due to living abroad). Now I have to make a large payment. Because of Covid I think the service I buy (cruise) may never occur. I would like to have section 75 protection. Is permissible to pay in several instalments, paying off the card in full each time, and still have protection ?
Or does someone have a better solution ?

If the company allows the size of payments you want to make, yes.

But of course you only need to make a one payment on a card for s75.

    Then why book it?
Or does someone have a better solution ?
    Yes, travel insurance.

    Yes, travel insurance.
Unfortunately I paid the deposit before Covid was known.
Travel insurance has to be renewed before payment date,
I expect cover for Covid related things to be declined, as it is
a known event. We shall see.
    Thanks to responders.

Did you pay the deposit by credit card?  If so I think that covers you already.
  • If you are paying the cruise company Direct you are likely to be covered if however you are paying a travel agent than you won't be

If it was in place at the time of the original booking you may be covered.
