Furlough

I have been in furlough but now my employer wants to bring me back on reduced hours temporarily. My contract does not mention reducing hours and the part time furlough scheme does not begin until 1st July. Can my employer do this? Thanks

The alternative may be redundancy0

If you do not agree it then no but as above what might be the alternative.

Ask for a guaranteed end date to the reduced hours after which the full hours apply and ensure that it will not affect future redundancy calculation if that is what it comes to in the future. What industry are you in? Will a recovery to full hours be likely in the short-term?1
