Unable to contact Opodo

We booked return flights to Canada which have now been cancelled. I have contacted Opodo by phone a few times over the past weeks and they were supposedly pursuing a refund from Virgin Airlines. I have tried to contact them again to chase up but all phone lines are now unavailable and there doesn't seem to be an email address. No contact details on their website. Im not sure how to proceed with this. The flights were over £1300. Any advice please?

Virgin Atlantic are very slow in processing refunds.  Lots of threads on this board alone giving shared examples from MSE's trying to get refunds from the airline.   I suspect Opodo are facing the same challenge.

As an aside, was this actually a Virgin Atlantic flight, perhaps via the USA, or was it a code share flight, perhaps Westjet direct to Canada?

I'm in the same situation with Opodo (Etihad flight). It seems like they've basically shut their call centre and made it impossible to get in touch anywhere other than Twitter and Facebook (and even then, I'm not sure it's a real person). I'm not even waiting for a refund, I accepted a voucher. They just send an obviously automated email every few weeks saying that they're still processing it. But when I look at the Manage Your Booking section about my request, the status is still "requested" not even "processing" never mind actually finished. They're literally acting like con men at this point and as someone who flies a lot, it's definitely the last time I ever use them.

I sent them a DM on Twitter back in March and they just never responded. I also sent a public Tweet to them and only got responses from other irate passengers in the same situation.

I'm also waiting for a refund by Opodo. Your best bet is to have proof of an agreed deadline for a refund: either an email, tweet, official Terms from their website, recorder conversation etc. Should they fail to issue the refund within said deadline you would have a strong chance of requesting a debit/credit card chargeback. Even if you don't have a specific deadline confirmed by them you could still try to register a chargeback claim. I've done this since there is an inherent flaw in their official website Terms which absolves them from requesting a cash refund from the airline. Under EU regulation they cannot and should not deny/shift accountability over to the airline, as Opodo are your legal intermediaries.

Booked Virgin atlantic in January 2020 to fly to Las Vegas this October 2020 using OPODO .
 Virgin A have recently cancelled the flights as they were from Gatwick airport which Virgin are no longer using.
Virgin will not talk to me insist I take it up with Opodo 
Opodo website only offers rebook or credit note and talks of cancellation fee.
 Would prefer cash refund. No way to contact Opodo, phone doesn't work ,etc.
Can I make a credit card claim using section 75?
