Are non-EU airlines operating in Europe subject to EU rules re consumer rights?

    You won't get any compensation, what you want is a refund (reimbursement).
    I misspoke - I don't want compensation, just a refund of the tickets.  Corrected post :smile:

    The points I quoted say a refund should be applied as per the compensation rules, which allows a voucher, but only with your express signed agreement.  Air Canada are insisting on vouchers and ignoring the requirement for a cash, bank transfers, cheque and "other services" (I presume refund CC).
