I have booked holiday through Sunmaster on 20th July 2020 and wanted to know if Sunmaster cancel how many weeks notice should they give me due to the foreign office saying no essential travel

I assume you mean non-essential travel? They don't have to give you any notice at all, but if they give you less than 14 days notice (assuming that his holiday commences with a flight from a UK or EU airport), then you are entitled to compensation of up to €600 under EU 261/2004. This would be in addition to a refund or rebooking.
What do Sunmaster offer in their own T&C's? WE can't see your contract.No free lunch, and no free laptop

There is absolutely zero chance of EU compensation being due, the EU have come out and said it doesnt apply, so why mention it?3
