Hi,
I've just bought this TV (https://www.johnlewis.com/lg-oled55c9pla-2019-oled-hdr-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv-55-inch-with-freeview-play-freesat-hd-dolby-atmos-streamlined-alpine-stand-ultra-hd-certified-black-silver/p4103589) and would like to get a soundbar for it. Could I get some recommendations please? ideally don't want to pay more than £400

Depends very much on the size of the room it's in, but, the Sonos Beam is worth a look. I have one and it's also very good with music and has Google assistant and Alexa built in.
Of course, If you have a large room, you may want to save up a little more and find one with Dolby Atmos capability. Sonos have just launched the Arc (which I'm waiting to demo) at £799, but, there are others.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

For that sort of money you could look at a Sonos Beam, or for a little more the Sonos Playbar.1

Another Sonos Beam owner here. Just plug it into HDMI1 (the ARC port) and you're away.1

Thanks for the recommendations guys. Its quite a big room so I might be best upping budget and going for the Playbar. No advantages of getting an LG bar so its same brand as TV?0

Well you’re doing better than I did. When I asked about soundbars I’m fairly sure I got grumbled at and people moaned about not using the search function.
Not that im saying that’s what you should do. Personally I don’t think it’s the end of the world when people ask questions.
Some do though.1 -

Have a look over at Richer Sounds, they currently have the Playbar at £499.TheRealM said:Thanks for the recommendations guys. Its quite a big room so I might be best upping budget and going for the Playbar. No advantages of getting an LG bar so its same brand as TV?0 -
Why dont you go the whole way and get a cinema surround system? I just picked up a Sony one online for a tenner second hand but it looks like new and the sound is amazing.TheRealM said:Thanks for the recommendations guys.
