Any chance at all of Self Employed Grant after late tax return submission (Post April Late)

Hi. Not expecting a lot of luck (or sympathy) but my son did some work as a self employed driver, whilst in parallel working part time (as supply driver) for another firm during tax year 18/19 and then 19/20. This question is whether he is eligible for SEISS
The following are rough figures - He started SE work in Sept 18 (and had gross income from Apr-18 from his previous PAYE job of about £6000) his SE profits (after expenses) for the year Sept 18 to Sept 19 were about £6000, and his supply income was about £4000. He stopped SE working in Jan 20 and has found other (part time employment £500pcm, rising slowly as he gets more hours).
Therefore: in tax year 2018/2019 he earned
* PAYE £6000 (4/18-9/18)
* SE Driver £4000 (9/18-4/19)
* Supply Driver £1000 (9/18-4/19) - this work was mainly after 4/19
Figures for Tax year 19/20 are the rest of that supplemented by a little PAYE. He did not have any benefits income.
So a couple of questions:
* Would he have been eligible for the SE grant (ie would his other income either before or alongside have prevented this)
* Is there any way of becoming eligible for the scheme given he submitted late or appealing - which was a combination of mental and physical health reasons, but also household disorganisation during early days of lock-down
I have tried to find answers in the guides, but have not been able to find anything other than a blanket NO WAY. Although I am not hopeful for a result, and in hindsight a bit of a sorry tale, but I would be very grateful for any observations that could help us make the most of this.

There's no appeal and because he didn't submit his tax reuturns before the extended deadline then he won't be able to claim the SEISS grant.

He missed the extended tax return deadline, so not eligible.
Based on these figures:
SE incomes was less than 50% and therefore he would not be eligible even if the tax return was on time.mark88man said:Therefore: in tax year 2018/2019 he earned

Thanks for the prompt response. I feared as much, but it is a little reassuring that he wasn't eligible in any case. I know we need to get our act together, but its been difficult. Things are better now.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
